UMW Purpose
The organized unit of the United Methodist WomenUnited Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church
has five circles which meet monthly:

Second Mondays

Third Mondays

Third Tuesdays

Fourth Thursdays

Membership of the circles is open to any woman who desires to belong and to participate in the global mission of the church through the United Methodist Women. For information contact us by email.

Virginia Wingard Memorial UMW contributes to numerous mission projects throughout the year. We usually have one or two designated mission projects each month. This year our mission projects included:

These monthly mission projects are in addition to the missions that Virginia Wingard’s UMW unit as a whole support each year through our pledges, which also include Free Medical, Habitat, Oliver Gospel Mission, Salvation Army and Sistercare.

Our UMW members are also involved in other activities and programs throughout our church including a quilting group, vacation bible school and LRE.

Our annual fundraiser begins in Octoberand is a pecan sale of assorted varieties. These include whole, pieces and smaller sized pieces; chocolate covered and sugar free chocolate covered. They are available for holiday baking and gifts.
